SSB Odisha PGT Eligibility Criteria

In order to submit the online application form for the PGT post of the State Selection Board, all the candidates must match the eligibility criteria set by the authority. 

Educational Qualification

• A candidate must possess a master’s degree (With a minimum of 50 percent marks or equivalent grades) in their desired subject to apply. This degree must be from a recognized university. OR a candidate must complete the 6-year integrated PG program from an NCERT-recognized university.
• A candidate must possess the degree of B.Ed or its equivalent from the recognized National Council for Teacher Education Department of New Delhi.
• A candidate who wishes to apply for PGT commerce, Education, Urdu subjects, Telugu, Home Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Geology, etc do not require any B.ED degree.
• A candidate who wishes to apply for PGT Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Hindi, History, economics, etc must possess a B.Ed Degree with good grades.

Age limit

• A candidate who is interested in the PGT post of SSB must be between the ages of 21 to 38 years as of now.
• A candidate from a reserved category can get the relaxation in the age limit criteria.
